The food is wonderful still but the problem is pricing. I ordered a sandwich which came with a 1/3 of the meat I was accustomed to with the previous owner, fries and a drink ($15) IF I WANTED TO ADD BACON IT WAS $3.50!
We wanted to love it after the change.
I guess we all were spoiled from the previous owner but as I left today spending $17 (14+tip) for LUNCH on a sandwich combo I wondered, would I ever come back.
As sad as I am to say that now they have opened under new management the food is not anything like it was. The portions are smaller and although the sandwiches are good they are nothing like they were under old owners. Less meat and more pricey. The Shed has gone from spectacular to just ok with the change and is now just another sandwich place.
Before this same combo was $10 and a bigger sandwich.
Day 1 with the new owners May 23, 2017 - excellent food! Brats, sauerkraut, and fries were fantastic. Fresh berry cake with whipping cream frosting was out of this world delicious! Gluten Free Blueberry Muffin was like pound cake. I will buy again.
I went to today on a Friday at noon to a ghost town of a restaurant, before this place was the talk of the town. On previous trips I was hoping to get to seat, today I was the only one there.
The service and food are still wonderful but a bitter taste is there.
Overall, it wasn't horrible but not worth the cost.
The cookie recipes are also very different which was a huge disappointment. The sea salt caramel was my favorite all time cookie...the new recipe tastes more like a plain oatmeal cookie verses the to die for cookie they used to make. So bummed this place tried to fix what was not broken.
I would probably visit again considering there's no line....$17 for lunch is pretty steep
Extremely disappointed that one of our favorite places has completely changed. The great thing before was the incredible homemade bread, baked goods and huge portions. New chef changed all of that. Chicken salad had nuts in it and it wasn't listed on the menu. We won't be going back. I suggest you don't bother.
Also, when I asked questions no one seemed to be able to answer my questions.
My husband said his burger was ok. Nothing overly special. I decided on trying my old favorite sandwich. It was completely different. We ordered two orders of fries to go. When I got home I had two styrofoam boxes full of soggy salty fries. I wish I had known the fries were so enormous. Also, in the front where they use to keep all the amazing bread and goodies, it was sparse and unappealing. We likely will not return. It was much more pricy and the sandwiches had a fraction of the meat.
The Shed still has wonderful food but new management has taken this place in a different direction.
