Went for a wedding rehearsal. Appetizers were skimpy and plain. First course was a lasagna that had so much water content most of us didn’t eat it. Salad seemed fresh enough but nothing better than one from the drive thru of a McDonald’s.
Food wasn’t ready when we showed
We have the good pleasure of moving to Weatherford, Texas. Moving is not exactly on the top of everyone's list of favorite activities; and so at the end of our second trip, we came to Mamma, tired and hungry. What a delight it's such a short distance from our new home, and that a second Mamma's is expected in town. Why such a delight? Because when you have discovered truly authentic and delicious dishes, you know you are blessed, indeed. And doubly so so when you have met such warm and inviting people, at Mamma Monica's
The restaurant is owned by an Italian family and the food is authentic Italian food. They make fresh pasta in their workshop which is attached to the main area and you can see it through a big window. The food is amazingly good and the fact that is fresh homemade makes the difference and gives a big plus to the whole place. Italian food is well known to be the healthiest and well known in all over the world so go for it. I definitely recommend this restaurant
We heard about Mamma Monica's from friends and knew we had to try it. We were not disappointed! The restaurant is a comfortable, family place with attentive, polite wait staff. The food was delicious, homemade and plentiful. To top it off the final check was reasonably priced. Hats off to this new place on our list of places to dine.
a dish was never even served, and they had to box the dessert and the final dish up for the party because it had already been 2 hours.
I finally tried it. I've heard really good things. I was somewhat disappointed in it. We went on Saturday night. They asked if we had a reservation. Didn't know we needed one. We sit outside, which was fine, it was a beautiful evening. The food was what disappointed us. The chicken wasn't cooked through, had a bloody spot. If you order ravioli, you only get 6 so my daughter wasn't full when we left. I thought for the prices there would be more food. It's a nice place and the service was great, but I doubt we'll be going back.
