We knew this was a big move, and we understood pretty quickly that the owner had underquoted on the job. We were still shocked at the end of the day when the price had QUADRUPLED. Unfortunately, this was getting close to 11pm and the owner was unavailable by phone for us to even attempt to negotiate. We wanted to wait to pay until we had a chance to speak to the owner the next morning but were told we would have to accept a REFUSAL TO PAY notification on our contract and pay a $50 fee per day until we reached a satisfactory conclusion. The (second) crew leader took this opportunity to try and convince us that the fault was really with the first crew leader and urged us to speak to the owner and make a complaint in what was a very clear effort to get the other guy fired.
These guys are awesome! My husband is in the Army and I needed help getting our POD loaded for our new duty station. They sent 3 guys and were able to get everything loaded for me. I didn't have to lift a finger! They were so professional, and were gentle with our stuff. These guys had amazing spirits! I literally cried after they left because if not for them, I would have been moving all of our stuff on my own. Amazing amazing!!!
In summary: this company made a very stressful move infinitely worse with their poor business practices, unprofessional behavior, and personal comments. Hire at your own risk and insist on a site visit before you get a quote.
We hired this company after speaking to the owner. We gave very clear information regarding the size of our house and the amount of stuff we had to move, and were given a price quote but the owner never came to do a site visit.
I contacted Brazos Movers to unload a storage pod for me when I moved in to my new home. They were extremely professional, showed up on time and took great care with my possessions. I wish I had used them to load the pod for me! Highly recommend!!
What wonderful guys! We had a team of three of the nicest and most polite & courteous young men helping us move. They were incredibly efficient with their time and so careful with our things. Even just the sweetest and most friendly to our little ones. They moved everything FAST, safely, and with the upmost care. Couldn't have asked for better movers!
Another crew and truck were brought in to help midway through the day and this crew leader was a better worker and less unprofessional than the first, except for his regular disparaging comments about the first crew leader.
On the day of our move, the young guys who showed up hadn't looked at that information and were very vocal in their distress at how much work it would be. The crew leader complained loudly and constantly about the amount of stuff we had, the owner of the company, and the way the business is run. This continued constantly throughout the 13 HOUR day it took to get most of the move completed.
Most of the actual movers were hardworking guys and did the best they could, but this was a nightmare of unprofessional conduct on the part of the crew leaders and owner.
The guys were friendly and very polite. They worked quickly and were very careful with my things and my new home. They took great care to insure the boxes went to the correct room. Best movers I've ever used. You can't go wrong with Brazos Movers.
